At least he lets them live…my red belly ate plastic plants lol
You can try hornwort, grows into a jungle and very easy to keep.

I can’t explain why but I really don’t like the look of hornwort. I think I prefer more of a grassy or leafy look. I’m trying to grow some dwarf hair grass to carpet the top of the cave and it actually seems to be running. Unfortunately I made the mistake of bulking most of it together when I should have spent 10000000 hours separating it up and planting into tiny groups.

Val maybe? Should grow fast and usually doesn’t get eaten.

I’ve already tried, he rips it to shreds. I think I have a little to much current because it basically just folds over.

Thanks, I’ve wanted one ever since I got into keeping piranha 15 years ago. I don’t know what it is with his huge appetite boost/growth spurt. For the last 2 months he’s been eating 1-2 full silver sides a day roughly the size of my pinky finger. The nice part is he pretty much asks for it and I never have to worry about scooping out left overs. My end game for this guy would be him reaching 12”+. Maybe one day have the biggest Manueli around. The part that really keeps me interested is having the tank planted. I get to mess around with the scape and (really) slowly I’m becoming better at it.
