So I’ve made a few post about setting up this tank and now it is set up this is my new flower horn baby, I took a bunch of advice from people in here and I did attempt to put a bristle nose Flacco in the tank with him, that lasted all of about two minutes before I had to pull the plecco out and transfer him to my 250.

So the question is now I have my single flower horn in a 90 gallon tank all to himself running a fluval 407 and an FX6 maintaining 80° water temperature. He doesn’t seem to like tubifex worms, And for now I’m giving him a single frozen bloodworm tablet once a day, I’m going to go get some Bryne shrimp And I’m also feeding him Cichlid pellets that my other cichlids eat.

i’m reading that I should be feeding the flower horn every 12 hours, a variety of food what’s the best recommended variety and how much should I be feeding and I can’t figure that part out.

Thank you for the hell in advance you guys have already been helpful on setting up the new tank

I raised all of mine on NLS pellets, fed once a day. How much is part art, and part science. Most people tend to overfeed. As long as your fish is displaying good even growth, and not losing weight, you should be good. By the looks of your pics, yours looks like he could use a bit more to get him in good condition.
My last FH from years ago.

My guy gets hikari gold and hikari excel and freeze dried krill once or twice a week, he gets fed 4 times a day between 6/10 pellets a time.

He was 2.5 inch in February and he's around 8/9 inches now.

Your fella looks a little stressed.
Yeah, he probably is this is only his second day in the tank But he’s coming around and getting a little more personable

Oh that explains it then, my FH took a few weeks to settle fully I put a few artificial plants in random spots which made a huge difference to him and his confidence.
