When are you getting your new tank? Now that my tank is empty, I need to live through others temporarily!

If you search for aimara and germany, you will find a user that had a 22in aimara in a 600g with like 100+ neon tetras. It actually looked amazing. The fish always schooled because there was a large predator in the tank. I think neons, cardinals, or even endlers will look awesome. I also recently saw something called rainbowshiners (notropsis chrosomomus) that would be awesome. You probably just need to wait for him to get big enough that he wont really go after such small fish.

one is here now in garage - water proofing the plywood to go under it - will sadly have to wait until the 2nd one is done (2 more weeks?) to bring them in as it costs money to hire folks to help bring them inside and id prefer to pay once -

dr exum dr exum I hear you on the cost. I will need to move my 535g to the garage to seal those holes and then bring it back. Not sure I can muster friends to come help out. The good news is it looks like I will keep the tank and attempt to get it up and running again.

my Aimara is like 19"s no matter what eventually they will get tank aggressive and they look at the whole tank as their territory. Most aggressive and hungriest fish period to me

Hey there! I was actually looking for your cell phone to text you the other week. Do you still have that manueli you bought off of me ~4 years ago? Would love to know how it is doing. Also, did you ever get the giant tank you were looking for? I finally got a 535g but it leaked a couple weeks ago and I had to get rid of my aimara.

hey man I actually lost him like two years ago with a unattended water change. not much growth from that fish. they barely grow

Got this going again -

got Miguel the slime coat eating Sailfin Pleco and 2 deformed convicts - seems to pat no mind to the convicts and he chased the pleco -

this Aimara has been picky with food after i offered shrimp - need a cleanup crew as recovering uneaten food is dicey ?

i’ve got cons in other tanks to get a colony going -

if these guys fails - endlers it is ?

cheers all!
