Flowerhorn keeps running into glass

Ever since my flowerhorn started to grow a hump on his head one of his favorite things to do has been running into random stuff in the tank. Recently he’s been swimming much faster than normal and hitting his hump directly on the glass so hard that you can easily hear a loud thud sound. Is this normal. I’ve always seen videos of Flowerhorn hitting glass but lately daisy has been doing it so often and hitting it so hard that I’ve even noticed these red streaks that look like it could be trauma from hitting the glass so many times

As long as the banging against the glass is not out of distress, it should be nothing to worry about. Against a flat surface, It's likely not hurting him at all. The red streak is not from trauma. It's normal and only visible because the hump is so large and showing a bit translucent. Now this is where it's important to not have any decorations that could scrape, damage, or puncture the nuchal hump.

Yeah it's completely normal Eddie dose this all the time, to me my partner my kids and dogs?. It makes me glad he's got such a konk to act as a cushion ??.
