So my peacock bass is about 5-6 inches now and i’ve had him since he was a little fry. He’s started to show a bit of color around 4’ but he’s not super colorful. He’s got a bit of red on his tail and a little bit of yellow but he doesn’t have the dot on tree tail yet and i would love to know why. I currently feed him fresh market shrimp straight from the shrimp boats. He’s eats feeders every now and then sort of as a treat, but i’d love to know how to get that dot on his tail and a ton more coloration.

Yeah it was i asked the guy and he ordered them in but they never said the species but it’s looking like a mono or ocellaris
alrighty i got him when he was only about 1-1 1/2 inches and he’s now around 5-6 and it’s only been about 3 months
These are about 12" for the female and 15" for the male
