Probably not the best to mix an eel with puffers…would look good but not worth the risk…Go brackish with a Gymnothorax tile, some puffers, and maybe some others
I don’t see that as in issue I kept T. Schoudenti with M. Elipsifer for about 5 years- also grew out a fire eel in the same tank during that timeProbably not the best to mix an eel with puffers…would look good but not worth the risk…
I meant morays specifically.I don’t see that as in issue I kept T. Schoudenti with M. Elipsifer for about 5 years- also grew out a fire eel in the same tank during that time
That’s fair, size and how well the eel is fed is probably a big factor. It’s doable, I’m just paranoid lol.I've done it for years, idk tho. Might be an individual thing
Yep. Most fish do not try to eat puffers, and most who do die tryingI’m pretty sure puffers are bad tasting due to neurotoxins in their skin.
I have three tanks up right now - 55gal community tank (tetras, cories, etc.), 10gal betta tank, 180gal w/ pearsei, sengal bicher, 8 silver dollars.
I have a 55gal setup that's empty right now. Looking for ideas of what to do with it. Current ideas:
-Temperate/coldwater setup
- Bicher grow out tank
- Some other show piece fish
What would you do with an empty 55?
Yep…that’s my concern. Cause then you lose both (in a worst case scenario).Yep. Most fish do not try to eat puffers, and most who do die trying
