If anyone and I mean ANYONE knows someone with notatus severum or even a breeder that's in the states please let me know been on the hunt for ages?. Thank you
Join the club of "if I only had a Notatus". If you are on FB search for Exodus Aquaria. He used to be active on here but haven't heard from him in awhile.

Exodus Aquaria is Jason Bialke and the last time I was in Facebook groups he was still breeding and selling them. I don’t see his Exodus page on Facebook anymore, though.

His Instagram is still up but he hasn’t posted to it in a couple years.

His website is expired too ☹

Tried to contact Exodus Aquaria for notatus last summer, gave up after no reply to emails and FB messages.

Aqua Imports gets these from time to time-- that said, the one I bought from them looks different from their photo and different from the FB video they posted when they had them. It's quite a nice fish but looks like a different Heros, an oddball apparently thrown into the mix by the exporter.

For some reason notatus have become scarce and for some reason TUIC, which used to get them, doesn't get many Heros in these days. There are some out there, the occasional hobbyist breeder you might stumble into on FB, etc. Skoolz of Fish, a big fish store in Mechanicsville, VA, had an 8" beauty in last summer, don't know where he got him.

It’s probably easier to convince one of the importers to get captive-bred ones from Europe where they’re quite common, as I haven’t seen wild imports of the Guyanese form of notatus in a very long time.

How does that local differ from the Rio Negro? Which of course runs through Guyana and is the capital too ?
