Oldest ever raphael (Stiped Dora) catfish ? 47 years old

Some may know about my Stripped Dora catfish, which I purhased in 1974. Sadly passed away 3 days ago , at 47 + years old I don't think they were imported before mid 70s so unlikely to be any older ones, also not many nutters that keep fish so long , he moved house quite a few times, had a good...

Yeah, I’ve noticed that Pictus’s, Raphaels, and Armored cats seem to have the ability to live very very long!

But ripsaws are massive - wouldn’t a small body be harder to maintain for longer?

That may make sense on paper, but it doesn't seem to add up with aquarium fish. Neons have a natural lifespan of 10 years (the same as the much larger weather loach) and kuhli loaches' 15 year lifespan matches that of the much, much larger red tail catfish, for example.
I suspect classification (family of the fish), ecology or some other factor trumps size when it comes to lifespan.

47 years is incredible.

I don't mind the photo, in fact I thought it was simply of when it was old not dead.

But a tasteful photo of it in its peak years might have been a better celebration.
