I'm hearin a lot of excuses!

Well it's the truth. I know very little about most loaches I don't keep.
Generally I'm only a loachaholic of the species I do, I'm no Emma Turner. I'd fare very poorly with guessing hillstream loaches for example.
I have no shame admitting that, although perhaps I ought to have done so sooner. So the previous losses to Friller really don't matter, even though they would if it was a species I kept.

That being said, why not expand my horizons! I may not get it, but I don't think I'll stop guessing unless I run out of ideas, time, or am beaten.

The piranha is definitely a serrasalmus, you can tell from the sharp snout as opposed to the pug-like pygo face.
My guess is serrasalmus sanchezi (and I managed to find the pic when searching to confirm). This would be a fun guy to keep because it’s smaller than most other piranhas and one of the meanest (and therefore interactive). My favorite will always be a good old fashioned natt though.
