Where to find Salvini cichlids.

I would not keep them in the same tank as your other cichlids, unless the tank is at least 300 gallons.
Salvini are on an aggression scale that far exceeds any of your current stock, and could (and probably would) easily kill them all.

Is it possible to keep Salvinis with only African cichlids? I found that my American cichlids like FM and convict don't show much aggression towards African cichlids. Does this hold true for salvinis as well?
 
the only stores i like in MA are listed below:

Uncle Neds fish Factory- Millis- Best all around.

Imperial aquatics- Springfield- Small but always has cool hard to find fish and ship within MA

Tropic Isle aquarium- Framingham- mix of SW and fresh +plants. LOTS of equipment and tanks on hand

Luckys- Worcester monster fish and community interesting mix, younger guy just doing his thing worth checking out

New england Tropical Pet- Chelmsford- been there forever if you want a gulper cat or odo or arowana or ATF or lung you may find them here

Fish nook is 15 mins from my house and i wont buy anything there

Based on my experience they will be too aggressive, especially if you get a pair and they end up breeding.
They are a great fish to keep but if i ever get them again i would keep them by themselves. they caused absolute mayhem in my 4x2x2 tank. Once i took them out the other fish seemed very relieved!

why is fish nook bad? it seemed alright the couple of times that I went there
 
Its just insanely expensive and he buys the smallest fish. So for the same price you can typically get the same species in better condition and better size. he also seldom brings in groups and just 1 or 2 of species- most ppl buy groups.

I've also sold him fish, that he claimed had died then tried to sell the same fish back to me. he would rather be selling snakes and lizards then fish.

just not a good store and not one that will get my money again
 
every time i go there i walk out asking myself why i just wasted my own time driving there and i literally live in the next town- all the other stores i mentioned are close to an hour away and Neds is absolutely worth it but you are going to have to special order
 
The Wet Spot has some atm. Last I heard they had a flat rate shipping fee of $39.95 to ship.
