Have you never heard of offal meats? It’s usually the cuts that people find less desirable.
I had beef heart for dinner last night, it was scrumptious

I have not had them before but would t be opposed to them lol

growing up my mom always use to make cods cheek stew, cods tongue stew, corned beef hash with Scrunchions (I’m not sure anyone here will know what Scrunchions are)

Pig intestines and boy do they stink....an older relative by marriage used to cook them on the weekends and I remember the stench would smack me in the face as soon as stepped through the front door.

Well i “hate” to be the bearer of bad news….if you eat sausages then you already eat a part of intestines….what do you think the casings are made of????

How did you get past the smell?

They smell when you clean them, and fry them.

I never got involved in any of that.

After they are fried in 500*F lard and cooled, they don’t taste or smell like much.

They don’t taste good as I recall, & I’ve never had the desire to eat another one, but I wouldn’t say they were as repulsive as Limburger cheese or well aged kimchee.
