festae #1 is the biggest of the three festae

however it’s in the top 3 of the tank hierarchy

In pic one I’m seeing a definite male on the left, could be a male or female on the right (I’m leaning male).
Pics 2 and 3, definite male on top and definite female on bottom (only fish in 3 is female).
5 looks like 2 males.

Deadeye super helpful, thanks! I appreciate the insight while i’m learning here ??

at least there is 1 female in the mix - the one with the super blue face had “breeding dress” and has only accepted a jag as her friend…. so far - and is super aggro -

hoping to see something sort ??

Thought I was fairly certain on this Jag being male it’s 4”-5” - maybe stress ?

only thing is, the other one i have this size has no real sign of the vertical bars and is mainly gold / speckled -

the look of the jaw only makes me think male?

thoughts? ??

I don't rely on barring or fins for sex id of jags. My confirmed male had rounded fins. Look at the spots color for the lower half. Dark spots tend to be male, with light brown to yellow spotting of the lower half female.

I'm leaning towards male for the jag

i have two other F0 suspect male I’d rather not mix with these 3 if not necessary-
