What is the biggest possible fish for a 29 gallon.

For a very inactive fish I wouldn’t go past 6 inches. But really anything bigger than 3-4 tops shouldn’t be considered.

If you go salt I’d say a white shark could work.

What about for an 1100 gallon.

Pearl gourami is likely going to be fine in a standard 29.
1100 gallon you’re looking at arowana, good size cats, rays, etc.
