Hello guys, i was wondering if i could add more fish to my 125g tank?

Current Stock

- 2 M 6 female Cynotilapia Afra Jalo reef or zebroides new name.
- 3 red zebras
- 5 Pseudotropheus Maingano (Cyaneorhabdos)
- 1 Plecostomus
-1 Ancitrus

I want it to buy some Pseudotropheus Elongatus Chewere, cuz here in my country i can´t find my favorites Pseudotropheus Msobo Magunga.

Thank you all.

Just an FYI, but IME P. elongatus are nasty pieces of work, even in a 125. Not saying that a group wouldn't work, but I wouldn't be surprised if they tied into your Cyaneorhabdos due to the similar coloration. If you go this route, I would have a back up plan and monitor the tank closely.

I would choose either the elongatus or the cynotilapia...they are both blue barred fish and the cynos are much more timid. If you are going for mixed gender I would shoot for 25 fish...8 of each of species like the maingano and red zebra would work. Skip the metriaclima for the 3rd species (msobo). What about acei?

Ok i think i will skip the elongatus chewere, and wait till i get some msobo magunga cuz thats my favorite, i dont really like aceis, i rather get the msobo magunga i really love it cuz the females contrast looks like yellowish or maybe a bit orange, and the male a dark blue with black spots.

Skip the red zebras with the Msobo because they are both Metriaclima.

As I read it the red zebra are already in your tank? Either way, if your heart is set on M. sp. msobo sp. deep , I would remove the red zebra once your new fish have passed a qt period. Less drama, and less chance of hybridization.
