Hello; Several decades ago I was in the BSA (Boy Scouts of America). When i got older i had to leave the BSA and join a scout group for older kids. Eagle scouts I think. Both sorts of scouts would attend the same events. At a Camp on Norris Lake ( Camp Sequoyia) on summer there was a three or four day gathering. Lots of activities. I had attended Sequoya as a boy scout and was there as an Eagle scout.
The organizers decided to have a relay race among the other activities. They had us older boys compete with the younger scouts. We were bigger and stronger so finished way ahead of the younger boys. The organizers decided to give the first place trophy to the first runner up scout team and took away the win for my group. I was pissed. Not because i did not understand how unfair it was for me to run against a smaller boy. I did see how my croup had a clear size, speed and endurance advantage.
I was pissed because they invited us to compete and then changed their minds later. That older stronger boys ought not compete with younger and smaller boys is easy to understand. That leaders set up a situation like than in the first place was what pissed me off. Was my group supposed to sandbag the race and let the younger boys win? Turns out the adult troop leaders of the younger scouts had complained and got my team disqualified. Thing is they knew we were bigger and stronger before all the stuff started.
This Thomas guy can be whoever he wants to be, but has an unfair size, strength and speed advantage due to his biology. That is as clear to me today as my advantage over younger and smaller boys was back 60 years ago. Just as My team should not have competed against the younger scouts, he should not compete against natural females.
We raise fish. In some species the males and clearly bigger and stronger. In some species the females are bigger and stronger. That is the way of natural differences.
