Giant datnoid or good photo editing?

I'd be truly amazed, and sad, if that picture was real. Looking at the scale of it that closest dat would be close to 36" long and 20" deep!!

I'm no expert on dats but surely they can't get that big, even in the wild, let alone in an aquarium. K krichardson our resident dat man.

Those dats look like they could easily suck in that person's entire head.I've seen photos of some monster dats but not as big as the fish in that photo.
I think there is some kind of optical illusion going on.

Meh…plausible… there probably around 20-22” in a 48” long tank… theres 3 dats there. The 2 on the bottom look like 1 fish and it makes it deceiving. My guess is they are for sale in a store setting.

Its real and its the old Fishermans trio of angles-look bigger because the tank is closer to the camera and the person further away. But big Dats either way.
It looks a store so doubt thery'll be in that tank for long

There's some manipulation going on here. Imo the tank is quite close to the camera and the person is actually down the aisle, probably looking at a tank behind the Dat tank. The tanks behind and to the right of the person probably line up thereabouts with the Dat tank. The cameraman just caught the fish posing as if they and the person were interacting so it adds to the flavor.

I believe the tank is in the neighborhood of 3'x3' or thereabouts. They are still very nice looking dats though.
