Considerably rarer than the aforementioned Nandus nandus. Also can grow up to five inches, though this is rare.

This fish is incredibly unique as it is widely considered to be the only freshwater or brackish member of its order. As you may know, this fish is a frogfish, and frogfish are part of the greater order Lophiiformes, also known as anglerfish, of which most people are only familiar with luminescent, deep-sea species, which are sometimes portrayed in popular media such as “Finding Nemo.” This fish is very special and distinct due to its tolerance of lower salinity. Despite this, it is perhaps better considered brackish.
