Does anyone have suggestions for a top for my rimless 180 aquarium? It is freshwater and in wall with access from adjacent room. I wanted to help control evaporation and potential fish jumping. I have a sump and my lights are mounted and hang from above so I don't have the need for the legs to rest on rim. Just access to feed the fish. Polycarbonate has been suggested by a friend here. Any suggestions is much appreciated.
Thank you!

IMO twin wall polycarbonate cant be beat for lids. Its strong, light and does not bow…Some hardware stores have it local or greenhouse type stores online… they make clips u can attach to ur tank walls and recess the lid inside the lip of ur tank to curb any dripping for evaporation. It cuts fairly easily also ??

Wow, thank you! I have looked and see some on amazon as well. Do you have a recommended thickness? I see them in varying size thickness. Thank you

I use the 8mm thickness… 6mm should suffice for ur 2’x6’ span. I wouldn’t recommend the 4mm.

+1 on the polycarb, I bought a single 4x8 sheet. Doesn't bow and super easy to move around. I made lids for my acrylic 260g with openings 24in x 30in. and four 29g aquariums and a 55g. I still have enough left over that I will be able to make covers for a 55g and a couple more 29s. Just need a box knife.
