Guys,
I got the gravel today, it doesn’t look like a nature made, it looks artificial. It is heavy though just like gravel. One last confirmation I need help with before I change the gravel is that is this going to create dead zone ? Like sand creates? Also second question is how can I siphon without taking any gravel out? I tried siphoning to see how it works at it takes the gravel out. With the current gravel I have the big chunks, all debris come out easily but not the gravel itself. But this new tiny caviar gravel seems a bit difficult . Is there a trick I can learn to be able to clean the debris and uneaten food without risking removal of gravel itself?

I can’t help with all the questions, but it tends to help to hold the siphon a couple inches above the gravel in this case.
Having a lot of substrate sifters like mts and the loaches would help keep it clean too.

Honestly I'd recommend just getting sand instead. That gravel's different grain sizes will probably cause a lot of issues, although I can't comment on vaccuming.

Sorry, I cannot get sand, as I had very bad experience with sand with another tank I had. I also spent a lot of money on this caviar gravel, if this does not work, then I will give away the loaches and will put back my original gravel.

Can you please shed light how this new gravel can cause a lot of issues? for example what kind of issues?

Thank you. I was thinking of not putting them back once I take them out with the old gravel. Do you think it is good to have these mts in the tank? I was fed up with incontrollable breeding they had. If you say they are good, then I will put them back with the new gravel.

Also, looking at my old gravel and the new one? do you think I should still change the old gravel with the new one? If the new gravel can cause me "a lot of issues" as M MultipleTankSyndrome indicated, then I really do not have time and stamina to deal with those issues, so I would rather give out the loaches back and continue with the status que of my existing gravel. I really appreciate your help.

Tbh either could have its uses. I typically mix coarse and fine gravel in my tanks. Would you say that "bead-type" gravel more heavy or light as far as gravel goes? It almost looks like it's specially designed not to hurt bottom feeders.
