Yes better than the lighter colored pfs because the fish won't look so washed out.
Another question. So I still have the Marineland magniflow hooked up to my 55 until the fx4 has enough cycled media. I did it this way because I know I wanted to use the magniflow on the 29 gallon. If I hook up the magniflow to my 29 gallon how long will it take for the bacteria to die out without any bio load from a fish? I hope this question makes sense lol.
I have a pair I'm willing to sell, and a batch of around 200 Rio bagaces that will be ready in a couple weeks.
Plat pair is only around an inch each and the bagaces are about half an inch. Former is showing a lot of color, male has really red fins and the female has bright blue gills and fins with some pink on her sides.
Thanks for replying. I really want to try like a mini “wet pet” tank with a solo male convict. Although if the solo male turns out to be shy i would definitely be interested in a pair. ?

Anyone able to answer this for me. Say if I were to set up the filter the night before I get the convict. Would the beneficial bacteria die out that fast?
Substrate and decorations are in. Probably gonna replace the fake log with some sort of rock cave. Not the prettiest or best looking, I know, but I think it’ll work out nice. All that’s left is hooking up the filter, heater and looking for a crazy male convict.
