Carpintis gender id? (vent pics included)

Thank you. I thought so too, but my facebook group seems to think it’s a male so I figured I’d get some opinions on here.
in most cases a side view pic will do, males are easily distinguished from females.
Compare the facial profile of the male above, with the female below
Even as small as 1" males are quite distinguishable from females (below)
And when they come into spawning dress, the females darken first
Also notice the more torpedo shape (above) compared to a male profile (below)

Thank you. I couldn’t get a good sideview pic since the fish has been hiding. The vent pics were taken at the lfs. I’d be curious to hear your call based on the pics
