So one of my lfs is killing me with the puffers they carry. Yesterday they had Mekong river puffers, amazons, fahakas and mbu. Last time I went it was much the same. I need money tanks………

Just wait until you do have a tank all set up and ready to go, and then magically the stock is meh for months. 
They got me. I went in for a test kit and walked out with the test kit and a p. Suvattii. Pics coming soon I hope! That’s a t. Linneatus, pao suvattii and a t. Miuris. I almost got some amazons, but I had a budget, and didn’t know how big they got, so I passed. They had mbu, the first ones I’ve ever seen.

Next time I get an open tank I’ll go to the lfs with no plan so that I can choose fish while I’m there.
Amazons only get about 3 inches in aquariums, but need schools and a lot of swimming room.

I used to do that. Back in those days there was no web, research was wom and books. With the oddball fish like puffers, they only said puffers got to 6” and were brackish. So I found 3 t. Lineatus. The man at the store said they were big community fish,well I bet you know the rest of that story……
Nowadays there is no excuse for that, as you can look up a few pages on them right in the store.
