Beautiful specimen...net train him and he'll stop biting you....enjoy
Net train? What is that and how do I do it?!
Also, he tends to bite me when I feed him if that makes a difference. He especially likes going after my face ?

When my Amphilophus Saggitae Casper was young he attacked my arm every time I cleaned the tank. He was small and it tickled more than anything else. Then he started growing and drawing blood.20201003_102844.jpg20200602_094959.jpg20190206_102642.jpg
So at this point I started in tank netting him while I clean the tank.

After some time of doing this every three days he just stopped fighting against it and would calmly sit there and let me catch him, almost swimming into the net.

I learned about it on this forum. You take a net large enough to cover his entire body and gently move it towards him pushing him into the side of the tank. When he lays on his side with his eye on the net you set the net down against the side handle up, and it keeps him away from you while you clean the tank. Itll take him not freaking out when you do it so, you'll need to do it slow to 'train' him. Once he learns your not going to net him out of the tank and just lays there on his side, he's net trained......
I'd have to see how your feeding him to understand how he's able to get to your face or bite you when you feed him but see if you can shoot some video.

Ebay you say....interesting, didn't know you could buy live fish on Ebay?
I got a lot of my fish from eBay.
I check the sellers ratings and see how long they've been a seller before I buy. I haven't had any issues from any of the fish I bought from eBay so far.
I've gotten blue eyed lemon pleco, super red pleco (both bristle nose), my Oscar, my eupterus cat, and my first goldfish. They get pretty expensive with shipping, but I think it's worth the extra money to get healthy fish that aren't going to die within a week of getting home (a majority of the fish I've gotten from the big chain pet stores).
