Just wanted to show off my oscar

I got a lot of my fish from eBay.
I check the sellers ratings and see how long they've been a seller before I buy. I haven't had any issues from any of the fish I bought from eBay so far.
I've gotten blue eyed lemon pleco, super red pleco (both bristle nose), my Oscar, my eupterus cat, and my first goldfish. They get pretty expensive with shipping, but I think it's worth the extra money to get healthy fish that aren't going to die within a week of getting home (a majority of the fish I've gotten from the big chain pet stores).
Great info...thanks

When my Amphilophus Saggitae Casper was young he attacked my arm every time I cleaned the tank. He was small and it tickled more than anything else. Then he started growing and drawing blood.View attachment 1501850View attachment 1501851View attachment 1501852
So at this point I started in tank netting him while I clean the tank.

After some time of doing this every three days he just stopped fighting against it and would calmly sit there and let me catch him, almost swimming into the net.
That looks freaking painful!!! I'm glad my guy hasn't gotten me that bad yet. Really he only bites during feeding time, and I think it's because he gets too excited. When I'm dropping food in, he sometimes gets my fingers, and when I'm digging in the bag to get more kibble, he goes after my face. I think he thinks he has to bite at my face to get more kibble "hey, if I bite this giant in the face, she gives me more to eat!" I may have accidentally condition him to do this lol

Until I read about using a net I used to do it with my gravel vac (years ago). Just laying to next to him used to be enough to make him hold still on his side till I was done. Using a net was an exceptional idea.

Just perused Ebay and I'm surprised at the selection available. If I had multiple tanks I would be compiling a list. I would love to add a Carpintis with my EBAs and CLs but, I'm pretty sure it would reap havoc and end up killing everything in the tank.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised that fish were available on eBay. You can get them on Amazon as well, but I haven't tried that one yet, and there's not as large of a selection.

The reviews tell me to avoid Amazon....until I get a handful of good reports from legitimate people, I'm avoiding Amazon live fish ?
