I recently received a glass box. It is separated into 4 pieces. Two pieces hold 1.8 gallons, the others hold approx. 1-1.5 gallons. I was thinking of putting a betta in that tank. AqAdvisor is a website I can trust but don’t fully believe in them. Aqadvisor said that having a male betta in that tank would be %5000 overstocked, so I was just checking if that was reasonable (I don’t) so just checking if I could.

Bigger is always better, but I know a regular betta would be fine in that. My first fish was a betta in a cup when I was kid and they said it could live in that for life. It lasted 4 years with never changing the water other top ups until it jumped. I’m not saying that was good, but if it lasted that long in a little cup, I think it would thrive in a 2gallon

Size wise, it's totally fine. But more importantly, a betta NEEDS a filter and a heater. So unless you can fit both into the equation in this set up, scrap the idea.
