The sheer brute strength of an adult elephant...it's one thing to toss a lion or a hyena but it's quite another to be able to effortlessly flip around a full grown buffalo!

If you type into your search engine "buffalo attacks baby elephant", you should see a "BuzzFeed" news feed page. Read it.

The four pictures are genuine all right, but several years apart in timeline!!!

It looks like a highly plausible news item but the whole thing has been distorted. The clue is in the colour of the grass!

Incidently S skjl47 , the young elephant made a full recovery according to National Geographic photographers who took the pics.

It also appears in the first 2 photos the buffalo is sevral times the size of the baby elephant and in the last 2 the young elephants are nearly as big as the buffalo.

It just goes to show how easy it is for these news feed platforms to muddy the waters in an attempt to get people to click on their feed. No wonder some people view social media with utter contempt.

Yeah...you can't believe anything on the internet even if you see it with your own two eyes.

The elephant calf really looks in the second pic like it has taken a horn into its abdomen. Hard to come back from that.

The buffalo? I don't believe for a moment that an elephant that carried the attack that far would quit before it got the job done.

According to the reports, the baby elephant from the first two pictures, although understandably a little ruffled, lived.

The buffalo from the second two pics was reported to have being skewered by the elephants tusks, and died from its injuries.
