I currently have a group of 5 subadult leleupi, and six adult black bee cyps in a 90 gallon tank, and they're doing fine. Unfortunately I have to move them to a 45 gallon tank. The tank is 36" by 18" footprint.

Will they still get along in that small of a tank? Would you recommend getting rid of some or all of the leleupi? Or some or all of the cyps?

Thanks in advance.

Leleupi should be ok, I think. Make sure to have lots of rock work for hiding. Cyp’s might not do well in that size tank.

interesting because it says the lemons get 4" and the cyps only get 3". but I know cyps like more open water so that makes sense.

I would not put either species in a 36" tank.

right on, i have decided to leave them in the 90. Any suggestions for tankmates? There are some random barbs in there right now who are getting along good. Add more barbs?

very nice. is that how they look in the wild or is that man made?
It is not a hybrid. There are multiple Altolamprologus sp. from several locations on L Tang. They will hybridize so they should not be kept together.
