2022-2023 NFL Discussion

I fear for the city of Philadelphia. There might be a riot because of the controversial holding penalty with 1 minute left.
There was already enough celebratory foolishness earlier in the day as a huge crowd of fans overturned someone's Volvo but it was pretty cold and rainy in the evening and everyone is pretty deflated so there shouldn't be too much carrying on.

Not very common. The British are on another level 😆

They certainly are but i think its a bit calmer now than it was back in the 70s and 80s.

A big shock for me yesterday was learning that the actual regulation time of an american football game was 60 minutes, i genuinely thought it was much longer as some of the games go on for hours and hours.
I was also a bit shocked at rhiannas half time show when she grabbed her crotch then sniffed her fingers....

Well, I certainly missed that LOL!

One newsreader was so disgusted by it they showed it about 5 times in a row and even a few times in slow motion in case anyone missed it!

For some reason the superbowl is becoming a pretty big thing here in australia, its live on TV and they show a lot of the ads in the news. Some pubs even open early and you can go and watch it there. and drink american beer and eat what they call "american bar snacks" which are usually very expensive chicken wings with hot sauce.

Seems as if everything is expensive over there.
I'm guessing there is a movement afoot to popularize the NFL in other countries....similar to recent efforts with soccer/football in the United States.

I won’t be changed! NRL! Lol.
I’m not sure if Super Bowl was just up lots because there were Aussies in it or something. Oh well
