My dad used to tell stories of 8-10" convicts he kept, iirc Kevin @ tuic has males of this locale around that size right now, Duanes had 10" sajica and 8" cutteri, there was an 8" cutteri at triple crown (seen below), and Rusty Wessel had 7-8" septemfasciata at his fish house last year. Uncommon, but not unheard of.
