Acrylic aquarium outdoors

Hello Fish keepers Is it possible to keep an acrylic aquarium outdoors under a gazebo. sun will be hitting the tank a little bit but not a lot. I keep hearing acrylic will turn yellow but the type of acrylic used for aquarium won't turn yellow due to higher quality is what i find online.

what do you y'all think ?

i hear the same thing. but my tanks in front of a window and gets the full brunt of sunlight. its been 4 years and its still crystal clear.
my fluval 3.0s have caused more UV damage then the sun from the window has.

My pleco acrylic tank is outdoors. Gets some sunlight everyday. No problem, infact I love it when the sun hits the tank. The shimmering effect is very nice

windows do a very good job of blocking out the uv rays something to keep in mind.

did it remain its clearness ? no discoloration ?

UV is supposed to have less than 5% degradation from acrylic over 10 years in the sun. But given how many buckets or containers left outside here turn brittle and shatter in a year I'd still be a bit hesitant. But it looks like it's not a significant issue.
Edit: Swap the UV and acrylic around in the first sentence, I don't know how I managed that, but it made me laugh so I'm leaving it.

yes I seen containers/buckets turn yellow and brittle but again I believe its just the quality of acrylic used. Hopefully someone who keep one outside can chime in.

It's not the quality. It's the type of plastic. Acrylic tanks are, I believe Polymethyl Methacrylate. That's probably roughly never used for your average gardening or household containers, they'll be usually something like polypropylene or polyethylene. Sometimes Polyvinyl Chloride.
