Fish mix and count in a community tank?

Angels would be pretty terrible dithers, they are far to delicate and subject to the same behavior as any cichlid.

They can be dithers but with only very specific fish. I definitely would not mix them with aggressive cichlids like firemouths, jack Dempsey or other CA/SA cichlids. I meant if he only did it with something like electric blue acaras.

Even then they are a more delicate fish meant to be a centerpiece. They will be as timid as any other cichlid. A dither should typically be a schooling fish that is always on the move and not afraid to be in the open. This gives the cichlids a sense of security that they can freely move about.

Yeah that is true...

Thanks for your advices, will rather focus to mid/large cichlids and avoid small ones to limit the risks. Also will consider water parameters when mixing it. Will add colombian tetras and maybe anscitrus, nothing else to keep it simple and avoid issues ;)
