Hello all!
After years of gathering information, following discussions and browsing on this forum I finally decided to become a member.
My name is Tristan, 34 years old and I live in the Netherlands. For the past 5 years I've been keeping cichlids, mostly Sa & Ca and I can say that the hobby got a little bit out of hand.
I currently have 3 tanks set up in the living room, a 220 gallon, a 90 gallon and a small 20 gallon with a various amount of cichlid species.
The species that I currently own:
Jaguar cichlid (female)
Oscar cichlid (albino)
Cincelichthys bocourti (male)
Heros Severum (Turqoise)
And a Senegal Bichir, really entertaining oddball I must say.
So, here comes the question. I recently bought a Parachromis Dovii juvenile (it was sold to me as a Dovii) but I'm in doubt it is actually a Dovii...
It is very hard in the Netherlands to get your hands on decent quality cichlids (the dutch like their fish in smaller sizes) and in most cases the fish offered for sale are not a very nice quality or are mutts. So I'm asking the experts around here for your judgement! Is it a Dovii or a Jaguar juvi?
Looking forward to your answers!
