One of my longfin bichirs jumped out the tank during a wc today, and ended up snapping one of their finlets in half... now it's just kinda dangling off the membrane. The membrane it's hanging off also looks a bit ragged, and I'm worried it might tear from the constant movement.

Any ideas what I should do? Will the spine grow back, or will it just kinda stay like this? Should I go ahead and clip the dangling part off?

You could or wait and see if it comes off. Once had a aggressive Endlicheri bite off finlets of another Endli and the finlets grew back.

Did they grow back normal? I may have to clip the Finlet, the dangling part seems to be bothering her. She's been boosting around every time something touches the fin.

The area of the finlet is probably sensitive when touched until it heals.

That makes sense, I am going to try and clip the dangling part. Every time it moves she starts getting aggressive and picks a fight with the nearest fish...

Any tips on how to do this? Do I fish her out and sedate her, or just put her on a small container and clip?
