Hello, I have a 4 inch male thai silk living all by himself in a 75 gallon tank and I was thinking of adding in a female blood parrot I have in another tank that’s similar in size, wondering if they would be able to live together

I honestly don't think that would work out very well for the parrot. The parrot wouldn't have any way to defend itself against a generally highly aggressive Flowerhorn. Unless you have a backup tank suitable for a parrot, I wouldn't risk it.

The thing is you can't guarantee that they will get along. Just because they are opposite sex does not mean anything. I had an Amphilophus, part of what makes a Flowerhorn, reject four of five females. And the one he did breed with, I hade to move her to another tank when the fry became free swimming. He would guard the fry from even the mom...

Yeah I think you guys are right the only way I would try it is if I can create a breeding box she can get into and he can’t but even then it’s risky

Yeah...maybe try another tank (like a 100-gallon plus) that is just for breeding. Get a male and female pair and let them do the rest.
