I’m just wondering because I raised him from a tiny tiny fry and I want to know when I can put him in with my small convicts

How big are each cichlid and how big is the tank?
The jag doesn’t look bigger than 2 inches or so; the convicts would have to be a comparable size for this to work out.

The tank with the convicts is a 75 gallon and the tank the jag is in right now is a 20 gallon
Actually...you said the convicts are in a 75-gallon, right? How many convicts? It could work if it's only one or two and there are plenty of hiding places. But there would have to be a lot of hiding places.
Then it might work, but just be super cautious if you decide to do it. Provide a bunch of hiding places.
It’s doable with enough hiding spots, but know that long term the jag will need a lot more space and will not tolerate the convicts.
