Thanks. I have a 125 gallon that holds my carpintis salvini and jack dempsey with a featherfin catfish. I just rehomed my peacock and haps. Here's a picture when the Africans were in it.

My severum was 8” and he looked cramp in there but I now am of the viewpoint that fish need more space than what they’re commonly given so my stocking suggestions are going to consist of smaller sized fish than most other people.

Would a severum work in a 75 as temporary until I get a bigger tank?

The plan is to get a 125 gallon stocked for South American only. First plan was a 125 with a single chocolate Cichlid, severums and Geo's.
This tank setup will happen by the end of February

Yes a 75 is more than adequate for temporary housing and or a grow out for a severum.
