Florida gar and bichir question

I have a couple of florida gar and 3 bichir ranging from 10-15"

I couldnt imagine you ever having conflict as their paths never kind of cross. I have an endi bichir that will feed from the top of the tank but they don't every interact

Gars are ace fish, dead easy to keep in my opinion generally always hungry I feed mine lance fish, prawns mussel and they readily take and sinking or floating pellet too. Mine are about 12 and 15"

Woukd they also take clams? I have so many claims because of my MBU lol obviously without the shell.. its definitely going to be trial and error too see what he will like at 7 inches. I'm hoping it goes smooth aha

At 7 inches what do you suggest I try too feed it first

Great! I would just feed that. Hopefully you receive a healthy Florida Gar. I would probably feed whatever the vendor fed if Gar was small 5 inches or smaller.
