I am from the UK, I was also lucky enough today to get 9 monte's! They haven't sexed yet, but i divided them into 3 sets of 3, i took the larger and paired it with the 2 smallest, and then repeated, so the 3 largest are housed with the 6 smallest.

Hopefully I'll get a male in each tank!

If anyone in UK wants some, the guy I got them from has 30 left after I bought my 9. He has confirmed 6 breeding sets and the ones in my pics are from him.

Great little monties, I hope you get a male or 2. Mine seem to produce fry at a ratio of about 1M/10F.

I've also got a bunch more ready for new homes, including a few decent sized males.

I have been looking up these fish for a while and yours with the blue and the black tail must be the coolest color strain I've seen. Do you still have them and would you mind sharing updated photos?
Unfortunately I am across the pond, otherwise I would be trying to get some from you.

Hi, thanks they're great looking fish. Yes I still have them, although currently I only have 1 adult female and 13 juveniles. I sold the majority of my adults a while back.

I've since had a change up, I've gone for a pebble river theme in the meeki tank, the 60l grow out is now home to a mahachai betta and I've got a new little grow out tank for the monties.

The juveniles are getting quite big now, looks like I've got 11 females and 2 males, I'll soon be moving them into the big tank
