My move to the Philippines

Most stuff is fairly cheap, save western stuff and beff is a bit spendy. They don't slaughter cows in mass like the US. When they die of old age, that's when they become food. So steaks are a bit more tough in texture than American steaks.
Examples
A kilo of chicken breast is 190 peso or $2 and some change
A 12oz bottle of beer is roughly $1 usd
Lunch size bag of potato chips less than $1 usd
A kilo of ground beef 450 peso or $4 and some change USD
McDonald's quarter pounder meal is 250 peso or $5 usd
McDonald's big breakfast is 170 peso or $3 and some change
This is the one I think we may move into.

That looks quite nice, like someplace I'd love to rent on a vacation. Is it a duplex or would you have both sides?
Just one side. But for $122 rent, I can deal with a duplex.
We are still looking around. May find a single dwelling house by time we move. But so far this is top of the list.
Nothing new to report really, we may have found a place like 30 minutes north of Davao. Two bedrooms, carpark etc etc for just 6000 pesos a month or 105 USD a month.
Got Cristine a washing machine so she don't have to do it by hand anymore.
She must be over the moon, at least my sister was when my father bought her a washing machine.
