Is this a Hoplias curupira? Black wolf fish?

Got it 7 days ago but it's skittish and hides when I turn the lights on. Hasn't eaten yet.

I'll try to get better pics.

Going to buy some krill to see if that will work since other foods have not yet.

I’m not sure of the species...
But if you love that fire eel and whatever other tank mates you have
I highly suggest you move the wolf fish to its own tank
Or else there is a high probability that this tank will end up as the only resident
IMHO
