Filet-O-Fish: McDonald’s Most Overlooked Sandwich

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I heard that McDonalds typically buys good-quality beans and tends to make sure the coffee stays fresh- which sounds pretty weird for a company that keeps lowering the quality of their food while driving prices through the roof, lol.
A few folks swear that McDonalds coffee is superior to Starbucks, which I thought was rather interesting.
Starbucks coffee tastes like it’s been through the digestive system of about 7 or so bovines then regurgitated and mixed with liquid faeces, the had an entire Caribbean islands worth of sugar poured in before being served to some high school girls.

Wow. How do you do that? I mean pick all those individual traits out of a mouthful of coffee. You have quite a palette my friend, lol.

Yeah really,very descriptive.....very imaginative lol!

i don't know why there is such a hype over just a sandwich, LOL

After all, we eat to live, not live to eat 🙂

I don't think there is much, or any, hype over this item. It's not a flashy "signature" food item for McD's; never has been. I can't recall ever seeing anybody order one or eat one, certainly haven't done so myself. I think McD's produced just one way back in the 1960's or 70's, and are keeping it cryogenically frozen in case anyone asks for it. Either that or they are just re-using those same old promotional photos all these years.

Stop and think about it; pictures of restaurant foods are taken by professional photogs, carefully assembled, posed and perfectly lit and artfully re-touched to make them look amazing. Same with the "suggested serving" pictures that appear on packages of food sold in supermarkets. They are made to look as enticing and delicious as possible in those photos. You will likely never see those items looking that good on your plate.

Now, go back to post #15 and look at that disgusting beige cow-pie in the left photo. That...is the absolute best that the photographic artists could make that thing look.

Case closed.

Oh, by the way: cattle eat to live. People...should be able to extract more from the act of eating than merely nutrition. Eating is a basic yet profound natural act that should delight the senses and excite the mind while also nourishing the body. :)

Well, I guess if they ever invent time travel, we can hop back to the '60s and see that sandwich in its prime—before it was cryogenically frozen for future disappointment. 😅 As for eating, I’ll try to squeeze out a bit more excitement next time I dig into my beige cow-pie. Who knew dining could be such an adventure?🙂

Well...I did. :)

But there's still hope for you; after all, you used the term "dining" rather than just "eating"...or "grazing"...

Touché! I guess I've leveled up from 'grazing' to 'dining.' Next step: full-on food connoisseur. 😎 But until then, I'll just try not to disappoint my future taste buds too much! 😂

Why is the OP thought to be a bot? Are they known for carpet bombing the forum with threads about fast food?
