Black rhom feeding?

Is there a list of safe / good foods to feed and what not to feed? I'm getting my black rhom in a week or 2 and just doing some additional research

1. A good brand pellet especially if you're getting a juvenile.
2. Cut strips of tilapia.
3. Shrimp or krill
No poultry or mammal meat.

i've had luck with the smaller massivore pellets, catfish also...

I fed only once a day.

Noted ️ I am going to start with tilapia and then try massivore pellets. Going to try to avoid live feedings as much as possible

Decided to trust my API tests that my tank is cycled. Just got my black rhom yesterday, how long should I expect to give him to settle in before eating? Is it normal for them to go off food for a few days after a move? Just want to know what to expect in that regard or if he should be eating right away?

The 4 platys in with him have survived thus far, going to try tilapia tomorrow

Not long assuming a couple of days. Don't be surprised if a platy is eaten .

Yes may be stressed from transport and now a new environment.

if he should be eating right away?

No but shouldn't be long once the piranha settles in.

As I typed out a long reply he decided to destroy one of the platys which I've already figured will be his last live food since I'm getting tilapia tonight to switch him over to FT foods

The only thing is that he didn't eat the head of the platy but I left it there for now

Take it out sometimes juveniles don't eat the head .
