I am wanting to put a Blood Parrot in a 40 breeder. I am wanting to know from a long term bp keeper is a 40 Breeder sufficient? Also if it is what would be the recommended filtration for a solo wet pet bp in a 40 breeder?

Thank you in advance!

they get BIG. and they don't stop either. my account's namesake blood parrot was 10 inches when she died, 10 years old, got her at 2" from petsmart back when they sold unpeeled baby blood parrots. lived in a 55 the whole time.

I have a 125 gallon in storage. I am just currently living on the second floor of an apartment and I already have the 40 Breeder. I won’t live here forever but I am afraid to get a tank too heavy for the floor in my place.

I'm sure the 125 will be fine, that's like implying 7 adults can't sit on a big couch without falling through the floor. I knew a guy with a 180, a 75 and a 90 on the 23rd floor of his building, and serviced a lady's 125 on the 15th of hers.

A 40 Breeder will work for a single parrot because of the 18 inch depth. I've got big fat parrots, 8-9 inches. One's in a 225 and the other two in 40 standard. I want to switch them over to a 40 breeder or 50 by the fall. The footprint of the 40 standard is a bit wimpy and they run out of room quickly. You can also try the 60 breeder, which is basically a "short" 75.
