Datnioides Polota a.k.a. Datnioides Quadrifasciatus a.k.a. Silver Dat a.k.a. American Tiger (AT for short), perhaps my favourite dat.
But why is it American?
But why is it American?
Well, just a wild guess but the AT seems to be the least desirable dat species to collectors in Asia
Very pleased for your first post.I’ve read it’s called “American” because it’s color resembles our silver coins
Thank you! Glad to be back. I was very active when neo first started the site. Back when waterwolves was the only other predatory fish keeping site. I used the same profile name just couldn’t remember the password. So I tweaked profile name a little bit with the underscore. But I read they call it American tiger because it’s the color of the US silver coins.Very pleased for your first post.
I don't think they look like any coins.
