Big tanks and floors

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
We’re getting out house levelled shortly, had a chat to the guy doing it and he said he can put in some more stumps in that area and brace the floor. So if we wanna go big the wife has said to get the floor done too. Woo!

Hello; I do not understand this post. I am going to assume you meant "our house" rather than "out house". Been a long time since i used an outhouse. But a level out house is probably worth having, I guess.

Also been a long time since I saw a building set onto tree stumps or even sections of felled trees. I have seen such however. Wood is strong enough but under a floor can have problems with rot and bugs. I hope you mean "stumps" made of stone, brick, cinder block or such set onto a concrete footer. I imagine the joists can be "sistered" and boxed if it is a wood joist floor.

But my confusion with terms aside this is the way to do it. Get an experienced construction outfit to reinforce the floor. Will likely cost more to bulk the floor up for larger tanks but will work out better. Congrats.
