Welcome aboardCan you guys tell me what fish share the same biotope as the Malawi cichlids? I only know a few squeakers species.
Wow, just one? That's surprising. Anyways, currently (coincidentally) I have an eel that my relative somehow caught and gave me, which is a Mastacembelus Armatus, a zig-zag eel, IDK if this one will be able to be with malawi cichlids or not. Anyways, malawi spiny eel reminds me of Macrognathus genus(Nothing much, just telling.)Welcome aboard
Malawi spiny eel.

Can you tell me, please? I appreciate everyone's helps. There are at least two species of spiny eels. M. shiranus and the undescribed M. sp. Rosette. Some people say there even is a third, also undescribed Mastacembelus species.
And there are a lot of other non cichlid species.
After searching up their sizes and temperament, I totally believe you.Bagrus meridionalis and mormyrus longirostris are some more unique inhabitands of the lake, but lesser for a community tank.
