Moba grow out thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No mate, no website Ken. I didn’t know of him until recently either. B Bwirtz actually directed me to him but I have no social media accts and used my sons IG acct to get in touch with him in September after scouring the internet for moba.

Alison has wilds, 1.25” & 2.5” in atm as well. Whilst the 4-5” are actually not that more costly for a fish prolly close to 6-9 months older than a 2.5” fish.

Pretty sure Butch sold his wild group.

I have heard from several sources that Anthony’s advertised sizes are actually the sizes you get as well. We all know use fish peeps aren’t good at measuring accurately without a tape measure 😱😆
Anthony has been importing and breeding Tanganyikan cichlids for 15+ years. He also brings in fish from Europe with a select breeder program. Great dude, always an easy transaction.

Excited to see these beauties you are going to get.

Ok, so the moba are ready to ship. I’ll be receiving 16 of them on Thursday this week. Very excited, like early Christmas when I was 12 years old.
Here are some screen shots off vid the seller posted on IG/FB today 🥳🤩

They're beautiful fish and should do really well in your tank.

Mine grow slow as well
Very exciting!

I must say, they do grow slow! I was sitting looking at mine - most of which I’ve had now personally for a year and 4 months - and they’re definitely still medium-sized at best. Nowhere near the big brutes I see online.
Mine grow slow as well, at least the ones I believe must be females are light eaters/slow growers. Of my thirty gibbs, I've had twenty-four for 1 year and the other six have been in the tank for 4 months. All were 3"-5" when they arrived.
  • The largest four (males?) are 10"-11"
  • While the smallest five (females?) are 4"-4.5"
  • The rest are somewhere in between

Thank you Ken! Appreciate the encouragement 🤙🏼
Sure thing. Tell me, what are the dimensions of your 10' tank? I can't figure any standard dimensions for a 10' tank to equal 500 gallons.
