Title pretty much says it - Currently I have an acrylic 360g. I have learned that I hate acrylic for my high-light planted tanks, and can't even imagine what a nightmare coraline algae must be to remove with out scratching. Plus, a glass tank would have a far more open top, which would be better for my lighting needs. It was a FANTASTIC tank for my rays, but unfortunately, I'm done with them for now. So.....

I am in far northern WI, but would travel pretty much anywhere in WI/MN and the UP of MI. I could buy outright for the right price, or trade for my 360g. If you search my name/profile, you'll also find some pics of it set up with the rays too. Ideally, if someone has something, my ideal time to make the trip would be Jan6 - Jan12.

Oh, and just for clarification...
My 360g is a typical 8'x3'x2'.
I am only interested in other 8' long tanks, and no taller than 24". I will not consider anything else. I am interested in tank only. No stands or equipment.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Yeah, that's how all of my hobbies go too... all the good deals are always halfway across the country!
That would have been perfect too, cuz ideally I'd like to find someone who want to trade even up. I just learned a super simple trick/tool today though that cleaned my green spot algae of easier than ever, and never left a scratch! Dobie sponges! So i may decide to just tear the tank down, polish it up real nice again, and set it back up. We'll see...

Good morning! I apologize, I thought I responded to this a long time ago... anyway, the lights are just some 32w 5000k LED shoplights. Maxlite brand... around $30/light. Pretty cheap way to light the tank, and they obviously work fine. Are there better lights? Absolutely. My Rotalas and a few others would benefit from better light(particularly better reds) but fir the investment, I am happy. The old Maxlites had "cut lines" on the led strips, like many strip leds do, so I was able to cut some of the 4' lights down to 3' to fight the top of the tank without sticking over the sides. I also cut one down to 2', which is what lights my quarantine tank. That is actually what the little apartment tank is... I leave a 20g running all the time with something in it to keep the cycle going, so I always have a cycled quarantine tank ready whenever I need it.
