I am having a little trouble deciding the last fish to put in my tank right now. The tank is 10x4 footprint, and will have 4 fish in it. An Indo pacific tarpon, a largemouth bass, a striped bass hybrid, and some kind of peacock bass. A peacock bass has been my dream fish for a while, and I want it to be the main fish in the tank. I’ve seen a lot of peacocks in captivity, and realized that none of them really exceed 24 in. I’m looking for a bass that will hit about 24-26 in, which would automatically eliminate the temensis which get 3+ ft right? But what about the Orinoco peacock bass that supposedly gets 2 ft yet I’ve never seen one over 18-20 and the Keller which should get 18 in but I’ve never seen one over 12-14 maybe 16in. So if we were to follow this pattern, temensis which should get 30ish inches in captivity should only get 24-26. Perfect. Anyone have any experience keeping cichla vv

Aquarium forums are not a replacement for Google, you’re posting thread after thread asking what can be accomplished with a rudimentary Google search. On the first page in this General Aquaria Discussion nearly half are your threads(9/21). I’m probably just be the old man yelling at clouds but damn do a little research before asking every single question that pops into your head.

I’m sorry, I just found this app and I guess I got a little excited posting tons of threads about all the fish that I want, it’s the first time I have a big tank and this is my dream to have. I do do research and tank care of all my fish, I think I just got caught up in this app once I found it. Also as you can probably tell, I’m very impatient. But now that I read that I realize how much I have posted, and apologize for doing that, and I needed someone to call me out for it. I understand what your saying and will stop posting all these questions to give other people a turn, but would also like to give you and everyone else a rundown on why I have been posting so much.

All of the tarpon threads
First one was a question, something I wanted to ask due to mixed results online
Second one is finally got tarpons
3 rd is because the tarpons were sick when I got
And fourth is on the sickness that they potentially had( this one was not necessary but I got scared at the idea of getting tn from my fish)
This thread is my first one on peacock bass, a question that I’ve had for a while and haven’t figured out
I have a few threads on a pike cichlid that I had no idea about
A thread about raising mollies (unnecessary so I won’t be posting that again, I guess I got to excited about that)

And that pretty much it
It’s a long list, I think I will stick to a one question here and there type thing, looking back on these the only thing I really HAD to post was on my sick tarpon
But I completely understand that, I think I was just over excited about my first monster tank, I’m not like an annoying, self centered person or anything.

I do want to thank you for being the one to call me out on that though, looking back on all these posts makes me a annoyed too

Just looked back through all my threads…
All these “Anybody?”s and all this unnecessary questions, it makes me feel like an as*hole, I apologize for being so self centered to all of you and am going to focus on sharing my experiences in other threads and learning this stuff on my own, part of the fun in fish keeping!

There is a lot of info already available on MFK, in addition to people resources for questions. If you type the fish name in the forum search engine it will populate a bunch of threads you can sift through as well mate 🤙🏼
