Help ID the sex of this umbee!

Too bad, currently this is the only fish shop that has an umbee, as far as I know. The other cichlids shops here are out of stock for a few months now. (The umbee of the LFS is the last umbee he has in the stock, plus yeah, can't really blame the owner, because the shop shares 3 different owners, probably siblings. Therefore, his messenger has many 3 different admins. One of them is kinda rude, but the other 2 were good when I bought a festae.)

Maybe try and see if you could deal with one of the owners that wasn't rude

Tried, they also don't know how to tell the sex. They're not specialized cichlids shop, they just sell any fish in general.

Your personal umbee looks male to me. Females won't be as colored as males and sport a black spot on top dorsal

Black umbee females absolutely color like the males. They are very different from Rio Mags

Agh maybe that's where I got them confused. Thank you for the correction. I believe the rio mag female stay more yellow and males get the speckling across the body.
The fish store he's dealing is giving him an issue to vent.
